We have
listed some of the most common questions about fiberglass
insulation.
Q - If my roof
leaks will it damage the fiberglass insulation?
A - No,
fiberglass will still retain its R-value once it
has dried out. You want to keep any mildew
problems at bay by drying the insulation out as
quickly as possible though.
You will however, want
to remove any wet or soggy wall insulation as
bacteria can grow in it if left as is.
Q -
Is fiberglass
corrosive?
A - There are no chemicals in
fiberglass that will damage pipes, truss plate
connectors or wiring throughout your home.
